RICHARD ARTURA

CFP®, CRPS®, CMFC®, LUTCF

I have been providing financial planning services since 1994 and am a Certified Financial Planning professional.  I earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Human Resource Management from the University of Washington.  My family and I reside in Pierce County.

As a financial planning professional, I believe that educating my clientele about their finances and investments is critical to achieving their financial goals.  I practice a team approach.  I help each client to identify their goals, timeframe to achieve the intended goal and the risk tolerance of each individual person.  Together, we are part of the decision making process for the financial plan.  I believe this approach enables my clientele to have a better understanding of their investments and more realistic expectations of performance.

Community service is not only personally rewarding but is critical in our society.  I have participated in charity fund raising since 1999 for Provail, which is a nonprofit organization.  Provail is the state’s largest private, multi-service agency dedicated to meeting the needs of people with all types of disabilities.  In 2003, I was awarded with the Wyckoff Award for Individual Merit.  I served on the board of directors for Provail from November 2003 to April 2007.  I served as Chair of the Board from May 2005 to April 2007.

I am a member of The Rotary Club of Tukwila, Washington.  The motto of Rotary is "Service Above Self".  My financial planning practice is fundamentally based on this same premise.
